About Me

Choosing a therapist is a personal decision.

Alongside finding someone with the appropriate training and experience, it is equally important to find someone with whom you feel able to build a trusting relationship.

I believe that therapy begins with one person meeting another.

Long before any particular approach or technique, it is the quality of that relationship that creates the conditions for meaningful change.

My aim is to offer a space where you can speak openly, explore your experience at your own pace, and feel both accepted and gently challenged when the moment calls for it.

My Background

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

My training at the University of East London reflects the way I practise today: integrating person-centred, humanistic-existential and psychodynamic perspectives to meet each person's unique experience.

For me, integration happens at both a theoretical and a practical level.

Rather than asking people to fit a particular model, I adapt my way of working to the person sitting in front of me, recognising that every therapeutic relationship develops differently.

Beyond Training

While professional training provides an essential foundation, I believe that therapy also calls upon something more personal: the capacity to remain present with another person's experience without rushing to explain or fix it.

My hope is that our work together offers not only a place to reflect on life's difficulties, but also an opportunity to discover new ways of relating to yourself, to others, and to the life you wish to lead.

Culturally Informed Therapy

My practice is culturally informed and welcomes people from diverse backgrounds and communities.

I work affirmatively with LGBTQ+ clients and offer a kink-aware, sex-positive and non-judgemental therapeutic space.

These aspects of identity are approached with openness and respect, rather than being assumed to be problems in themselves.

A final invitation

If you've read this far and something resonates with you, I invite you to get in touch.

An initial conversation offers us the opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy and whether working together feels like the right fit.
